Strings of light peak through kitchen curtains
Revealing her wings, floating on thin air
There she stands an angel in flesh
In her blind spot, I sit and stare

I see drops of dew, washing the sink
Streaming down from burning eyes
Gods are bleeding from way above
Just on sight of the dearest’s cries

The dregs of society seeps into her heart
Drag her into earth, choking her soul
Draining her love, beating her down
Yet she manages to offer her whole

Mother, Ô mother, I wish I could fly
To take out for moonlight rides
To paint your skies with crimson pearls
And play along the shallow tides

Hold my hand as I used to hold yours
Bathe in my warmth like I used to do
Sleep in my chest, breathe through my lungs
Sink into my heart, I am here for you
